Last Spring I spent a period with the recently released AllMatters Disc. The disc isn’t flashy, exciting – even the package is easy to overlook. Period products don’t have to be flashy to work, and I can confidently say this disc worked quite well for me when I took a cycle to review it.

AllMatters Disc Overview of Features
One Size Fits Most. The AllMatters menstrual disc is on the larger side of “one size” menstrual discs. Because discs sit in a larger part of the body, the vaginal fornix, most people can use a disc that is in a range of 65-70 mm in diameter. AllMatters Disc is 70 mm, the same size as Poppins Period, Flex Disc, and Nixit.
Generous capacity of 50 ml means the AllMatters Disc works well for users with a heavy period.

Slanted Rim – The AllMatters Disc has a sloped rim that helps it slide behind the cervix for a more secure fit.
Soft Firmness. The firmness score for AllMatters Disc is a 2.5 on our scale of 1-5, with 5 being the firmest. This puts it around the same firmness as Nixit. Firmness is always a subjective measurement for menstrual cups and discs. The rating was done by squeezing each product and comparing them one by one. AllMatters Disc is a 2.5, softer than other discs from Hello Disc, Flex, Cora, and Saalt.
How AllMatters Disc Compares to Other Brands

This disc, originally released in 2025, is similar to several other brands. Perhaps the most unique aspect is the sloped rim. The basket is thin and flexible like Flex Disc and Nixit. It’s soft in firmness (2.5/5) like the AllMatters Disc or Nixit. Poppins Period Disc is softer and has a larger diameter than Hello Disc.

Best Way to Insert AllMatters Disc
Fold your disc lengthwise in half. Because AllMatters Disc is perfectly round you can fold anywhere.
Insert the disc while pointing it towards your tailbone – this makes sure it is angled in the best way to properly tuck under your cervix.
Once you can no longer push the disc further, take a finger or thumb and push the front rim of the disc up as high as it can tuck.
It’s our tip to really PUSH the front rim into place as high as you can even when it feels a little scary!

Best Way to Remove AllMatters Disc
Reach inside the vagina and feel for rim of the disc. You can try to “hook” the rim from below the basket and drag it out. If the disc’s rim can’t be hooked, use a thumb and finger to pinch the rim and drag it out of the body.
To reduce the mess, pull the AllMatters Disc up towards you while removing so it falls out from the back of the disc and not into your hand.
Try removing your disc in the shower for your first try – it can take practice before you find the best removal method for you.

AllMatters Disc Review
I tried the AllMatters Disc in April during quite a hectic time in my life. My brick and mortar store was being set up and we were close to opening our doors. The stakes for a reliable period product were high and I recall being nervous about testing something new.
As shown in my video review, I found AllMatters Disc to be super easy to insert. It was also completely comfortable. The disc never made its presence known and I could forget I was wearing anything!
The thin basket and sloped rim also make this a great option for a “barely there” disc during period sex. Some partners can feel the basket or the rim, which isn’t a bad thing, but if you’re buying a disc for the comfort of all parties involved, this is a top contender!
The Good:
- Comfortable
- Super Easy To Insert
- Generous Capacity
- Autodumping worked
- Stayed tucked into place
The Bad:
- One Big Leak
- Some light wiping leaks
- Very Messy Removals
Perhaps the biggest downside to the AllMatters Disc – messy removals. The angled rim made insertion easy, but it also made it hard to grasp and the longer you “dig” the more blood tends to get on your fingers. This doesn’t have to be a deal breaker but if I can get the same comfort and performance from a disc that is also mess-free to remove, I will pick mess-free every time. It’s a sensory issue for me – I do not enjoy messy removals.
